Thermostats

A programmable thermostat can save you money on your utility bill - up to 33%, if used as directed.  You set it up to adjust the temperature when you are away from home or asleep - when you don't necessarily need optimum comfort - and your HVAC equipment runs less.

Plus, your heating or cooling comes back to a comfort level automatically when you come home or wake up.  Most Honeywell Programmable Thermostats carry the EPA's EnergyStar® rating and are designed to be very easy to use. Air Cleaners

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), indoor air can be 2-5 times more polluted than the air outdoors.

Humidification

Air in your home that is too dry can be uncomfortable to breathe, and can damage wood products like flooring, pianos, picture frames and cabinetry.  In the winter, it's especially important to add moisture to the air, since dry winter air can drive down the relative humidity level in your home

to as low as 15%, which is drier than the air in most deserts.  A Honeywell Humidifier can help keep the humidity in your home at the proper level. A Honeywell Whole-House Humidifier mounts directly to your heating and cooling system, so you may choose to have your Kimbro Air heating and cooling professional complete the installation for you. Dehumidifiers

In any season, excess humidity in your home can make for an uncomfortable indoor environment. Dampness, stickiness, and odors are just a few of the many symptoms associated with air that has too much moisture.

Honeywell has a solution with our Whole House Dehumidifier. Unlike portable units, a Whole House Dehumidifier is installed in your home’s central heating and cooling system, and works to eliminate excess moisture in all rooms throughout your home. Honeywell’s DH90 Dehumidifier features an integrated ventilation control that introduces outside fresh air into the home. For more information on Honeywell Dehumidifiers, click here.

UV Air Treatment

Honeywell's Ultraviolet (UV) Air Treatment Systems zap mold spores and certain live, airborne bacteria passing by the lamp to prevent them from being re-circulated into your home's air.  The short-wave lights, similar to those used in hospitals, laboratories and commercial kitchens, are easy to add to your existing heating and cooling system.  Plus, the long-life lamps are easy to replace when needed.

The Honeywell UV Air Treatment System can kill up to 87% of certain airborne bacteria* in the air passing through your heating/cooling system, reducing the presence of these harmful agents in the air your family breathes. For more information on UV Air Technology, click here.

Ventilation

Weather-tight homes can trap damp, stale air inside.  One indication of poor air circulation may be moisture on the inside of your windows.  An option for fresh air is to open the windows,

but often that is not a realistic choice.  It may be winter time or a hot summer day, and you don't want to let conditioned air flow out the window.  The answer is a Honeywell Ventilation System that brings fresh air into the home.  A Honeywell Whole-House Ventilation System exchanges outside air with inside air so the heating or cooling of conditioned air is not lost.  It recovers up to 80% of the heating/cooling energy from the air leaving your home. Temperature Zoning

Control heating and cooling comfort where you want it, when you want it.  With a Honeywell Zoning System, you won’t heat empty rooms or over-cool one area in order to be comfortable in another.  Zoning makes it possible for everyone to be comfortable. You don't have to buy a new heating and cooling system for every room.

A Honeywell Zoning System uses dampers in your ductwork that open and close as needed based on each zone's thermostat settings.  When a zone is at the selected temperature, and doesn't need to be heated or cooled, the dampers close to save energy and maximize comfort elsewhere.  Think of it as controlling your heating and cooling the same way you control your lights - a thermostat controls each zone to the temperature you choose. The Honeywell CO Monitor uses advanced technology to detect low levels of CO (70 parts per million).  Since it is a battery-operated unit, it will operate even when household electricity fails and can be mounted anywhere in the home where CO is a concern.  Your heating and cooling professional can position the monitor in optimum locations throughout your home for CO detection.
